Resident Counselor: The Resident Counselor is our entry level, direct support position. Resident Counselors provide support and guidance to our clients in most areas of their lives, including independent living skills, behavior management and social skills. It is an extremely rewarding position that directly impacts the lives of the clients we serve. No experience necessary - we will train energetic, bright individuals. Valid drivers license and good driving record is required.
The Lead Resident Counselor supervises the day to day operations of 2 adult foster care sites, including managing the staff schedules, coordinating client appointments, overseeing client finances, ensuring a full activity schedule, and ensuring that all food and supplies are on hand. The Lead Resident Counselor provides direct care to clients, and is also responsible for ensuring compliance with client program plans/RMPs, adult foster care licensing standards (Rule 203) and Zumbro House policies and procedures. Afternoon, evening, and some weekend hours required. Some on-call responsibilities.
Program Coordinator: The Program Coordinator supervises 6-10 programs, and is ultimately responsible for the safe and effective operation of each site, including staff and client management. The PC ensures compliance with external regulatory agencies, such as human services licensing and OSHA, as well as internal policies and procedures. The PC also oversees the staff schedule and ensures proper staffing coverage. The PC provides clinical recommendations to client teams and composes client reports. Good organizational skills are required, along with a bachelors or higher degree in a human services related field and significant experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, mental illness and/or behavioral issues.
